You don’t get inspiring moments like the ones I saw at the Hyde-Bronx “Step Up” ceremony (see yesterday’s blog entry) unless you have a great faculty at the wheel. As powerful as Hyde’s 5 Words and Principles might be, they cannot stand up for themselves. That takes real people choosing to embody them in their daily lives. In a school setting, that’s your faculty.
Yeah, those kids at Hyde-Bronx gave us an inspiring day, but as i wrote on my Facebook page, “These three faculty members (l-to-r: Lydell Capers, Marion Holley, Jason Stewart), all Hyde-Bath grads, are a big reason why. What, me proud?……….Yup.”
