Our buildings & grounds folks set us up perfectly in the Sunken Garden…
…but since the weather rendered their awesome efforts all for naught, we switched our plans to The Joe. So, we got ready in the Mansion and watched the guys preen…
Some went with bow ties…
While some went with the tried-and true 4-in-hand…
Meanwhile, scoffing at the omnipresent display of male vanity, the girls either clowned…
… or reveled in friendship…
One cool thing: We were joined by several former Woodstock faculty who were invited to march in and sit with the faculty to support all our graduates.
Then we walked to The Joe where we promptly went Hyde-style, dispensing with all the traditional adult pomp and getting right down to the circumstance of the senior speeches.
They were uniformly great…
… with each senior speaking while his or her family stood in the audience…
With the largest number of speakers in memory (68!), we asked the seniors to limit their remarks to 90 seconds each, not counting mic-fixing and camera focus…
They all did a great job. Of course, not everyone was impressed…
But just about everybody present was happy…
And, if there was a dominant theme, it was all about family…
