Malcolm GauldA year ago, I wrote about Harrison, our youngest, moving out of our home and into a group home in Freeport on his 23rd birthday. Last Sunday we celebrated his 24th in his new home. We thought it was important to do this in his, rather than our, home. The fact that so many colleagues, friends, and family members took time out of their weekend to join us in Freeport was truly heart warming.
We did all the things that a family does on a birthday. There were presents.
There was cake.
There were young folks.
There were some older ones.
There was even a vocal solo from the birthday boy.
In all, a great time was had by all!
