After giving a bit more thought to #1, it occurs to me that parents can play an important role in helping their son or daughter accept full responsibility for their own learning.  Actually, it’s more like a non-role… Huh?

Let’s put it this way: Don’t be the parent on the right-hand side of this cartoon.
